Our first Bordeaux
Chateau visit was at Chateau Dauzac.
We just drove up, rang the doorbell, and moments later we were greeted by a young lady who was happy to give us a winery tour for the price of €6,00.

We agreed to the price and were lead through
an informational winery tour, in which every step of the wine making process
was explained to us.
It was like doing a
sommelier review mini class because she even asked us questions.
We concluded with a tasting of 3 wines
We concluded with a tasting of 3 wines
1.
Chateau Labarde, Haut-Médoc 2008 Andre Lurton
60% Cabernet
Sauvignon & 40% Merlot
I
found this wine to be a little young but was nicely balanced.

2. Labastide Dauzac, Margaux Grand Vin 2008 Andre Lurton
43%
Cabernet Sauvignon & 57% Merlot
This
wine had a little bit of barnyard on the nose, good fruit, smooth, but wasn’t
ready yet.
39% Cabernet Sauvignon &
41% Merlot
